Winterfest - real snow!Winterfest at Riverwalk, 421 Court Street 

December 3, 1-6PM -  This is a must do event for the family who likes winter fun. Winterfest attendees sled on real snow, ice skate, visit with Santa, see the tree lighting and holiday flotilla. Children enjoy the petting zoo, reindeer games, hay rides, pony rides, and train rides. WInterfest is free and open to the public. 

Christmas Cheer Drop-off 
Winterfest had a donation station for Christmas Cheer. Onslow Christmas Cheer began in the early 70’s and helps needy children and their families.  In 2013 2,300 children were assisted with toys, 1,200 food boxes were distributed, 18 schools donated food and volunteers throughout the community helped to make it all happen. Onslow Christmas Cheer

Free Admission & Parking!

The City provides a free shuttle from designated parking areas to and from the event. Free Admission and Parking. Event size in 2015 was 5,000+. Media & Food

Arts and Crafts Show
Winterfest at Jacksonville Commons, 100 Recreation Lane

Holiday Arts and Crafts Show 

Located at the Jacksonville Commons, 100 Recreation Lane, this event was designed for the entire family. Attendees have the opportunity to shop for holiday goodies from local artists and crafters.

Local Idol Talent Competition

On Friday, December 2, the finals of the Local Idol talent competition will take place at the Holiday Arts and Crafts Show. Local finalists will perform before a live audience.The fun continues on Sunday with a Gingerbread Contest, Upcycled Kids Krafts, shopping and more!

Gingerbread Contest                            

New for this year's event is a Gingerbread Contest.  Contestants creations will be displayed and judged at the Arts & Crafts Show on December 4. This is an opportunity for youth to showcase their baking and crafting abilities. For more information view our rules and registration form.
