The City of Jacksonville Recreation and Parks Department is working to create community by making Jacksonville the best place to live, work, and play. The Jacksonville Commons Recreation Complex is the largest green space of all the parks and recreation areas within City limits. The Recreation Admin building is at the center of the Complex in the main commons building, Gymnasium and Adult Center, 100 Recreation Lane.

Known around the City at "The Commons", this area is home to award winning ball fields, skate park, tennis courts, soccer fields, playground, amphitheater, Richard Ray All America Park, Gardens of the States, and mediation labyrinth

Events
This facility and the space surrounding it is the home to the City's annual spring festival, Jacksonville's Jamboree. The Jamboree is an outdoor/indoor festival with sports competitions, car show, live music, carnival rides, food, games and fun for the whole family. The Jamboree takes place on the first Saturday in May.
