Sewer Projects
Western Regional Pump Station, Force Main and Trunk Sewer

The Western Regional Pump Station, Force Main and Trunk Sewer project is a multi-faceted project intended to provide additional sewer capacity in the Northwestern part of the City for future City growth and to divert sewer flow from some of the existing sanitary sewers in order to reduce flows on the current sewer system.

These proposed improvements will provide the City with a system better suited to meet the growing needs of Jacksonville by providing increased capacity, redundancy, and system flexibility for both near and distant future growth.

The total timeframe for this project is estimated to be two years, with one year for design purposes and one year dedicated for construction.  The scope of this project is expected to include portions of Western Boulevard Extension across Gum Branch Road and through Williamsburg Parkway and then out through Onslow County's Burton Park and on to the City's Land Treatment Site on Firetower Road.  Construction is expected to occur within existing right-of-ways and easements.

As the project progresses, further updates and details will be provided.  For more information, please contact Public Services at (910) 938-5233.
