K-9 Program
Police K-9 Program
The Jacksonville Police K-9 program was implemented in 1998. This program is educational in nature and works to teach Citizen's, groups and schools about what role canines play in law enforcement.

Jacksonville Police have three full time K-9 teams that provide coverage to Patrol, Investigative Services, and Traffic Divisions. K-9s are trained as dual purpose patrol dogs and K-9 handlers spend a great deal of time training when they are not working the streets.

Jacksonville Police K-9 Officer Trading Cards are available to students.
