The Jacksonville Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is required to complete the transportation planning process in a continuing, cooperative, and comprehensive manner. In order to accomplish these goals, the Jacksonville Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (JUMPO) has the responsibility to:
  • Complete a Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP)
  • Adopt a Transportation Improvement Program
  • Adopt a Long Range Transportation Plan
  • Approve changes to the Federal-Aid Functional Classification System
  • Establish goals and objectives for the transportation planning process

Coordination of TAC & TCC Activities
Per the Public Participation Plan, the Technical Advisory Committee and Technical Coordinating Committee will hold regularly scheduled meetings and adopt a meeting schedule for each calendar year. It is anticipated that these committees will meet approximately 10 times per year with all meetings being open to the public. There is a public comment period at the beginning of each meeting. Schedules, agendas and minutes are published on the JUMPO website.
