City HallCity Council & Advisory Board Transparency
The City of Jacksonville provides transparency for the City Council and the advisory boards by broadcasting their meetings on the Jacksonville-Onslow Government Television Channel (G10) by streaming them to the web and by ensuring public access to records and materials.

Live & On Demand Meetings
Meetings of the City Council and advisory boards are broadcast live where practical. The City Council makes a practice of having all the regular meetings broadcast live on G10 and the web. Almost all of the council’s workshops are also broadcast live and on the web. The same is true for the City’s Planning Advisory Board, the Environmental and Appearance Advisory Committee, the Recreation and Parks Advisory Committee, the Water and Sewer Advisory Committee, and the Community Development Advisory Committee. If not carried live, they are provided on demand, as are the City Council meetings.

The City Clerk’s Office serves as the central depository for official records and works with citizens requesting information on a daily basis. Most are provided without charge where practical, but some have fees associated with reproduction. Many records are available through departments and divisions. Minutes of official sessions, agenda packages, and other support documents are available as well.
