Jacksonville Community Development seeks to ensure a better quality of life for all Citizens of the City. Jacksonville is an "Entitlement City," receiving annual funding from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  These federal funding dollars translate into assistance for Jacksonville's Citizens looking to rent, buy or maintain a home.

To achieve mission goals, the City utilizes federal funding opportunities and has established a Community Development Advisory Committee, where Citizens work to help the City improve services and programs. Advisory Committee application forms are available online.
