Portion of Sioux Drive Closure continues
Emergency Sewer Line Repair Required
A portion of Sioux Drive in Northwoods will continue to be closed to through traffic Friday for the repairs of a sewer line there.
The repairs began Tuesday and were delayed by the weather on Wednesday. They resumed on Thursday. City Utilities determined the need was greater and more extensive repairs were authorized.
The closure is from Edgewood to Smallwood on Sioux drive. The line being replaced is more than 10 feet deep and large portions of the road had to be opened to facilitate the repair. All traffic will be blocked Friday morning and crews hope to finish the work by the late afternoon.
