[ARCHIVED] Water Outage Scheduled for Williamsburg Plantation, Overnight Sunday, July 21

Water Outage - Williamsburg Plantation Area

Continued work on the Gum Branch Road and Western Boulevard intersection will require an unexpected outage of water to the Williamsburg Plantation area overnight Sunday, July 21, 2019. The outage is necessary for continued work by the NC Department of Transportation for improvements to the intersection.

City crews will turn the water off at 10PM, Sunday, July 21 and expect to be able to turn it back on around 2AM, Monday, July 22, 2019. The water will be safe to use and drink once service is restored.

The improvement project has impacted several City major water lines in the area of the intersection.

Questions about the overnight work can be directed to City Engineering 910 938-5249 during normal work hours and the City Water Plant at 910 938-5234.
