[ARCHIVED] Semper Fi Run to Affect Traffic Downtown

Traffic in and around the downtown area Saturday morning, May 18, 2019 will be impacted by the annual Semper Fi Fund Beat the Bridge races. Traffic and residents in much of the area of downtown, Bayshore Estates and over both bridges over the New River will see the effects.

More than 400 runners are signed up for this special run operated by the Jacksonville-Onslow Sports Commission for the Semper Fi Fund.

The first run will begin at 7:30AM and all streets should be clear by Noon. Expect delays if travelling in this area during that time.

The route begins and ends at Riverwalk Crossing Park and extends to Jacksonville Landing, downtown, Bayshore Estates and to Lejeune Memorial Gardens.

Race maps are available here and on the Jacksonville-Onslow Sports Commission web sites. Roadways will be open but Police will stop traffic to give priority to the runners during this timed event. Please watch for runners and consider cheering them on.Beat the Bridge 2019 Race Map
