[ARCHIVED] Crime Prevention and Security for Churches

Jacksonville Police Department and the Jacksonville Onslow Chamber of Commerce are partnering to provide a Crime Prevention and Security Seminar designed specifically for churches.

The program is free and open to Chamber members and non-members alike. It will be held on Monday, November 13, 5:30PM at the Commerce Center, 1099 Gum Branch Road in Jacksonville. Officers from JPD’s Community Policing Division will provide crime prevention information and security designed especially for church congregations.

"It is our goal to provide the necessary crime prevention information to improve the security for our churches to prevent crimes from occurring. We want to partner with our churches to make them as safe as possible," said Chief Mike Yaniero, Director of Public Safety.

"The Chamber considers this type of crime prevention session vital to our members and to all pastors and church leaders in our community," said Laurette Leagon, President, Jacksonville-Onslow Chamber of Commerce.
