[ARCHIVED] JPD to hold Gang Awareness Session


The Jacksonville Police Department will provide a Gang Awareness Session on March 28, 2017 at the Jacksonville High School Auditorium from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

This outreach session, held in conjunction with Onslow County Schools, is an chance for parents, educators and students to learn more about gangs.

“The Department of Public Safety wanted to provide an opportunity to increase public awareness by providing an information session about gangs, their activities and resources for those who may need help.”  said Chief Mike Yaniero, Director of Public Safety.

Officers from JPD’s Special Operations Division and Community Services Division will lead the presentation that is designed for parents, educators and students.  The session is open to the general public and all are invited to attend.
