Jacksonville Planning & Permitting staff along with state Floodplain Mapping officials will hold a Public Information Session regarding the latest flood hazard and flood risk data for City residents and business owners. The session will take place Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 4-6PM at Jacksonville City Hall, located at 815 New Bridge Street.

Preliminary flood map data can be reviewed online at http://fris.nc.gov/fris. The information session will allow residents and property owners to view the new maps with officials, find out how the latest data will affect individual properties, and learn what the insurance requirements will mean for them.

Onslow County officials will also host flood map informational sessions on Wednesday, January 25 from 2-4PM at the County Government Center and from 6-8PM at the Sneads Ferry Community Center.
