City Resumes Normal Operations beginning February 14, 2022, with COVID-19 Precautions in Place

Beginning Monday, February 14, 2022, City buildings will open to public during regular business hours. Masks will be optional, but encouraged. If you are experiencing any flu like symptoms, please conduct your business with the City over the phone or online at 910 938-5200 or JacksonvilleNC.gov. Social distancing continues to be encouraged and masks will be required for some activities. 

Utility Billing: Walk-in access to City Hall for Utility Billing will be restored as of Monday, February 14. Customers may also use the external drop box, drive up window, visit the City’s website, JacksonvilleNC.gov/UtilityBilling or call 910 938-5248 for assistance. This includes applications for new service.There is also an online chat feature where you can communicate with the Utility Services Division: JacksonvilleNC.gov/Utility

Public Safety Complex: Beginning February 14, 2022, public access will be restored. The public may interact with staff at the main entrance to the Center or at the taxi permit window for taxi related business and fingerprinting services will resume for the public.  City Fire & Emergency Services will resume all public outreach programs and activities. Potential visitors should continue to call the administrative line at 910 455-4000 to coordinate services with Jacksonville Police and 910 45-8080 for Fire & Emergency Services.

Recreation: Recreation programs, activities and  services will resume. Recreation Centers will also open for normal business hours and be open to the public during regularly designated times. Call the City Recreation Department at 910 938-5312 for details.

Jacksonville Transit: Jacksonville Transit Routes continue to run on a normal schedule. In compliance with the continued Federal Mandate, face coverings are required of drivers and passengers. Increased frequency of bus sanitizing continues, and passengers are encouraged to maintain social distancing while on-board.

Passport Services: Passport Service at City Hall and the Center for Public Safety is by scheduled appointment only. Visit JacksonvilleNC.gov/Passports or call 910 938-5200 for more information. Face coverings will be required in order to meet with our Passport Agents until further notice.
