Youth Basketball Leagues-Assessment Dates and League Updates

As you know, the basketball season was pushed back a few weeks causing the assessment dates to change.  Assessment dates for the following age groups are as follows:

  • Tots-Ages 5-6 Boys & Girls-there are no assessments for this age group and you should hear from a coach the second week of December about a practice schedule
  • Pee Wee-Ages 7-8 Boys-there are no assessments for this age group and you should hear from a coach the second week of December about a practice schedule
  • Pee Wee-Ages 7-9 Girls- there are no assessments for this age group and you should hear from a coach the second week of December about a practice schedule
  • Midget-Ages 9-10 Boys-assessments will be held on Monday, Nov 16, 6PM at the Jacksonville Commons Recreation Center
  • Minor-Ages 10-12 Girls-assessments will be held Thursday, Nov 19, 6PM at the Jacksonville Commons Recreation Center
  • Termite-Ages 11-12 Boys-assessments will be held Tuesday, Nov 17, 6PM at the Jacksonville Commons Recreation Center
  • Junior-Ages 13-15 Boys-assessments will be held Wednesday, Nov 18, 6PM at the Jacksonville Commons Recreation Center

Players participating in the assessments should hear from their coach approximately 2 weeks after their assessment date.

Players who are unable to attend assessments will still be placed on a roster using a blind draft.

Please note: Only one parent/guardian will be permitted inside the building with their player.  No siblings or other family members will be permitted to enter the building; the alternative is to wait outside in front of the building.  We will not be providing any supervision or childcare during assessments.

  • We ask that you wait in the established area once you are in the building and that you wear a mask during this time.  This is so that we can maintain social distancing.  Your player will be returned to you once they have completed their assessment.
  • All players and parents/guardians are encouraged to arrive early so that they can complete their COVID screening prior to being permitted in the building.

Staff is working hard to make this season a success, while keeping our participants and their families safe.  Your cooperation with this is greatly appreciated and as always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at 910 938-5312.
