Residential Rehabilitation Program

Neighborhood Improvement Services (formerly Community Engagement) assists qualifying homeowner's in rehabilitating their houses before they fall beyond repair. The Residential Rehabilitation Program provides low interest loans or grants towards the rehabilitation of an applicant's principle residence located in the City limits of Jacksonville. Funding is used for correction of minimum housing code violations, accessibility improvements and other repairs necessary to improve the health and safety of the property.

Requirements for Program Assistance

Property must:

  • Be located in the Jacksonville City limits
  • Be zoned for residential use
  • Be in need of minor health or safety repairs such as roof, plumbing, electrical, siding, etc., in need of handicapped accessibility improvements, or in violation of a minor City code
