Surplus City Property

On July 12, 2004, the City of Jacksonville began using a state-of-the-art online auction service to auction the City's surplus items on the internet. The use of this service to auction these items will help maximize the use of taxpayers' dollars by providing the City with more opportunities to get the most money for surplus items.

How It Works

The City will place surplus items for auction with GovDeals, a company that provides online auction services of government surplus, confiscated items, and abandoned items. Using this service will allow the City to auction items throughout the year instead of once a year in an annual auction.

What Is Available

In the box titled "Seller Name," select City of Jacksonville from the drop-down list, and click on the search button to display all current City of Jacksonville auction items. Please note: If the City of Jacksonville is not listed in the drop-down menu, we are not currently auctioning any items. Surplus items will be added as they become available. You may want to bookmark GovDeals and check back often.

Bidding

To bid on an item, you must register with GovDeals. There is no cost to register. Make sure you read and accept the bidders' agreement which states the terms and conditions. To check on what's available, you do not need to register.
