It is about being green, respecting our environment, and involving our Citizens. Through Clean and Green Jacksonville, the City strives to set examples and support community Clean and Green activities and programs.

Memorials & Honors Program
As part of the Clean & Green Jacksonville initiative, the City has established the Memorials & Honors Program where individuals or groups may plant a tree, help landscape a park or donate an etched brick in honor of a loved one.
Energy Grant
The City is participating in an energy grant that will access the use of energy and advance recycling. The City of Jacksonville boasts a population that loves parks, outdoor recreation, activities, and sports. A recruitment tool for the City's business park has been seeking green jobs. Additionally, the City won a designation as a fit community, which embraces a healthy and outdoor lifestyle.
The City continues to look for more ways in which to be clean and green and embraces opportunities to partner with local businesses and organizations to enhance efforts.
