The Metering Division is responsible for the timely and accurate reading of more than 18,000 water meters every month between the 10th and 25th of the month. Metering falls under the Finance Department to facilitate the close working relationship with utility billing staff and to ensure accurate monthly billing.
This division also performs turn-ons, turn-offs; verify repairs, billing re-reads, checks for leaks, sets new meters and handles customer complaints / requests. The meter readers average 1,500 service orders each month. Additionally, the monthly suspension list is handled by the Metering Division.
