COVID-19 Note: Governor Roy Cooper has issued a mandatory face mask order for North Carolina. Increased frequency of bus sanitizing continues, and drivers will have masks, gloves and sanitizer goods for their use. Seats directly behind the driver are blocked off to provide separation from the driver, and passengers should maintain a 6 feet buffer while on-board. Ride for free on all Transit routes until further notice, through the CARES Act.
'No Fare' for Transit Routes Until Further Notice
Ride for Free on all Jacksonville Transit Routes until further notice. This action was approved by Jacksonville Mayor and Council and went into effect Friday, April 10, 2020. This service is funded 100% by the Federal Transit Administration through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act.

| Reduced Fare RidersUntil Further Notice, Jacksonville Transit has no fares to ride. You may still apply for a reduced fare ID to use when fare collection resume. A Reduced Fare ID will be required each time you ride. Reduced Fare Applications (PDF)are available online; at City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street; and at Onslow United Transit System (OUTS), 605 New Bridge Street. |
