Bulky Items & Dial-A-Trailer
Bulk Item Pick-Up
Jacksonville Sanitation offers bulk item pick-up. For the quickest response Fill out the online pick up request form or Email Sanitation to schedule a pick up of items listed below. You may choose to use our automated phone message system by calling (910) 938- 5338.
Appliances are collected once a week, typically on Thursdays. Call Jacksonville Sanitation with the address and the type of appliance (up to two appliances each week at no charge) by Wednesday afternoon; then, have the appliance at the curb by 7:30AM Thursday morning. Each additional item after the basic service of two items will cost $10 per item to collect.
Computers & TVs
These items are collected once a week, typically on Tuesdays. Call Jacksonville Sanitation with the address and the type of electronics (up to two appliances each week at no charge) by Monday afternoon; then, have the appliance at the curb by 7:30AM Tuesday morning.
Construction & Remodeling Material
Construction and remodeling material may be collected by the City at a charge of $50 per cord, or residents may schedule the Dial-A-Trailer for this type of material. Email Sanitation to schedule a Trailer.
Large Piles of Limbs & Yard Debris
Large piles of limbs and yard debris that measure less than one cord (4 feet x 4 feet x 8 feet) will be picked up at no charge. For piles larger than one cord, there is a $20 per cord charge assessed. Supervisory personnel will inspect the pile, any charges will be assessed per the fee schedule and a detailed invoice will be left for the resident. Debris will be removed without delay.
Pallets & Tires
must be recycled and have been banned from disposal at the Onslow County Landfill. City crews will collect these items once a week, typically on Thursdays.
Large Empty Cardboard Boxes
Large empty cardboard boxes may be picked up with your recycling items. Flatten the boxes and stack them at the curb on your recycle day. Please remember: Do not mix materials such as yard waste and construction material; keep these items in separate piles.
The City’s Dial-A-Trailer program is a new service that provides residents a way to dispose of excessive amounts of yard waste or household junk for a flat fee of $50.
Dial-A-Trailer is a 12 x 8 x 4 ft. trailer which is available on a first-call, first-scheduled basis. When scheduled, the trailer is parked at your residence on the morning of the scheduled day of service and picked up by lunch on the 3rd day. If the trailer is parked on a Friday, it will be picked up 8AM the following Monday.
Items such as yard waste and household junk CANNOT be mixed together in the trailer. Only one type of material can be placed in the truck at any given time. EMAIL SANITATION or Call our automated phone system to schedule Dial-A-Trailer services.
