The Jacksonville community is very unique in that we have such a diverse audience. Due to our military population we have people from all walks of life. The Jacksonville Police Department is very understanding to that fact, therefore, lectures are given to military audiences and their dependents on high crime areas and type of crimes committed. Also available are tips on how to prevent oneself from falling victim to crime.

Crime Prevention for the Military

Jacksonville Police offer briefings aboard military base Camp Lejeune, Camp Johnson, Camp Geiger, and New River Air Station. Crime prevention for the military addresses topics relevant military personnel and their families that may be new to the area. Specifics topics like street con games, high crime areas, state statutes, and local ordinances pertaining to drugs and prostitution are addressed. This effective program has helped to keep crime at bay.
