The City of Jacksonville Community Engagement received funding by approval from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. These funds in the sum of $138,351 were used to assist with park improvements, residential rehabilitation and demolition. The Community Engagement Annual Report outlines projects and initiatives that utilized this funding resource.
The City was required to prepare and submit a Substantial Amendment to the 2008-2009 Annual Action Plan to HUD by June 5, 2009. The Substantial Amendment outlines the projects that the City undertook as a result of this funding.
In February 2010 the City first identified the need to amend the budget for the use of American Recovery and Investment Act funds. As bids have been received and projects completed revisions have been required.
